SCAT buses operate Monday thru Friday from 6:40 a.m. to 5:40 p.m. Hourly service is provided on most routes. Bus service is not offered on New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.

The SCAT office is open from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For general information, call 328-7228. TDD - 328-3598.

Fares

Regular (age 6 and up) 75¢
Regular (age 5 and under) Free
Seniors (with SCAT ID) 35¢
Disabled (with SCAT ID) 35¢

44 Single Trip Tickets $12.00

All eligible half-fare passengers presenting a valid SCAT ID card will pay half of hte booklet list price. Half-fare ID cards must also be presented when using half-fare tickets.

All passengers age 6 and up will be required to give the vehicle operator a ticket each time he boards a SCAT bus and when he remains on board any bus that is changing routes at Market Square Bus Center.

All passengers age 5 and under ride free when accompanied by an immediate family member.

All field trips will be required to pay full fare (including children ages 2-18).

All children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Route 3 - Mercy Medical Center and Route 3-A - Upper Valley Mall via First Street
  • Route 4 - Home Road via Limestone Street
  • Route 5 - Villa Road
  • Route 6 - Community Hospital
  • Route 7 - Southern Village
  • Route 8 - Clark State Community College
  • Route 9 - Lexington Avenue
  • Route 11 - MRDD Service

 

Special Services

All SCAT buses are equipped with special wheelchair lifts. Wheelchair users should call the SCAT Hotline (328-7228) so a lift bus can be assigned to the proper route. Persons with disabilities should be able to travel independently. Minimal driver assistance is provided.

Paratransit service is available to individuals who are not able to utilize the fixed route service. For information and eligibility criteria, call 328-3597 (TDD - 328-3598)

SCAT also offers Paratransit Transportation, Group or individual travel training, Pre-arranged school field trips for students age 6-18 years and a Lost and Found. (Items are held for 30 days only.) Call 328-7228 for more information about any of these services.
