Between January 29, 2010 and February 3, 2010, the Clark county Sheriff’s Office received two theft complaints from Morgan Automotive Parts, located at 2646 Rocket Avenue.  According to the complaints, unknown suspects had entered the area of the business’s yard and removed various auto parts and metal items without consent.  Upon receiving the complaints, sheriff’s detectives initiated an investigation into the incidents.  Detectives were able to develop suspect information and located several pieces of stolen property that the suspects sold to area businesses for “scrap”.

On February 4, 2010 at approximately 1500 hours, detectives located the suspects in the area of the 2700 block of Sunset Avenue.  Detectives identified the three suspects as Gary D. Welty (32 Years of Age), Joseph E. Weikert (23 years of Age), and Darren C. Sharp (42 Years of Age).  All three suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division to be interviewed.  Upon completing the investigation all tree suspects were arrested for various criminal charges as well as for outstanding criminal and traffic warrants.  They were placed into the Clark County Jail.

All three suspects are scheduled to be arraigned in the Clark County Municipal Court on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 1030 a.m. to answer the to charges against them.
