Fulbright Scholar Featured Speaker For Wittenberg Lecture PDF Print E-mail

Wittenberg University's Alumni Relations Lifelong Learning Lecture Series continues Wednesday, Feb. 17, with a presentation by Nina Vodopivec, Fulbright Scholar in Residence teaching in Wittenberg's Department of Sociology, titled "Who Got Lost In Translation? Women's Voices From Eastern Europe."

The presentation, which is sponsored by The Wittenberg Guild, is free and open to the public. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. as participants either purchase their lunch or bring it from home and then share in fellowship in Room 203 of the Joseph C. Shouvlin Center for Lifelong Learning.

Vodopivec, a professor at the Institute of Contemporary History at the University of Ljubljiana in Slovenia, will speak at 12:15 p.m. and will answer questions immediately afterward. She will speak about her research interviews with female industrial textile workers in Slovenia and Yugoslavia, focusing on how these women experience the social and political changes in their countries.
